Massachusetts ditches RomneyCare health exchange

RomneyCare’s pioneering health insurance exchange is headed for the scrap heap.

Bay State officials are taking steps this week to junk central parts of their dysfunctional health insurance exchange — the model for President Barack Obama’s health care law — and merge with the federal enrollment site HealthCare.gov.

ObamaCare risks for the elderly

Over a four-year period, 13,613 seniors who died from pneumonia, stroke, heart attacks and other common conditions at California’s low-spending hospitals might have recovered and gone home had they been treated elsewhere. And that’s just in one state.

Ignoring this evidence, ObamaCare incentivizes hospitals in all 50 states to imitate lowest-spending hospitals that are deadly for seniors. That’s some definition of value

Swedes buying private insurance to avoid government health care queues. They’re lucky they’re allowed to do that. Doctors operating outside the constraints of the government system irk our socialist masters tremendously.

Need health insurance? The Obama administration has you covered. Simply dial 1-800-FUCKYO to reach the next available health-care provider.

Far from being a mistype, that’s the official number that Health and Human Services wants Americans to dial when seeking health care. Obamacare’s national call[icon1] center really did list its number as 1-800-318-2596, helpfully spelling out President Barack Obama’s tendency to blatantly flip the bird in plain view.

After allowing for the lack of letters attached to 1 on a traditional American telephone keypad, the number spells out a clear message[icon1]. For every duped voter, every young invincible weighing the cost of a penalty versus a newly tripled yearly deductible, every ailing old granny in a wheelchair (whom, remember, Paul Ryan wants to push off a cliff) who needs adequate and affordable health care, Obama’s message is:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor has denied a request to block part of the federal health care law that requires employee health-care plans to provide insurance coverage for the morning-after pill and similar emergency contraception pills.

Hobby Lobby Stores and a sister company, Mardel Inc., sued the government, claiming the mandate violates the religious beliefs of its owners.

Why ObamaCare Is Still No Sure Thing

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act won’t be fully repealed while Barack Obama is in office, but the administration is heavily dependent on the states for its implementation. Republicans will hold 30 governorships starting in

A man identifying himself as a brain surgeon has issued a warning to Americans age 70 and over that secret plans being developed by the federal government under the Obamacare law will provide only “comfort care” for some ailments.

The stunning statements from a man interviewed by radio host Mark Levin confirmed that there are, indeed, “death panels” of bureaucrats being planned to restrict live-saving or life-extending care.

ALLEN: Obamacare stalls American economic engine

When I was governor, working with a Democratic Party majority in the legislature, we overhauled Virginia’s welfare system so it would provide a hand up to those temporarily in need. As a result, Virginia’s welfare rolls shrunk by nearly 50 percent, families regained their economic independence, and taxpayers saved hundreds of millions of dollars. We proved that historic reforms and achievements can be accomplished if leaders are willing to work together as we did in Virginia.

Why not just have a health insurance tax on everyone's payroll, but an extra tax on those making over $250,000 to pay for the unemployed. This way everyone could get at least catastrophic insurance at a very low co-payment cost. The conservative wacko nuts on here say it won't work but it would work.

Finally unearthed: The stunning, toxic origins of Obamacare

Legislation traced to Soros group, marketed by radicals

President Obama

NEW YORK – A book released this week documents for the first time the radical origins of President Obama's health-care law, revealing the principal author of the foundation for the legislation while tracing the law itself to a group funded by George Soros.

"Red Army: The Radical Network that must be defeated to save America" also finds the founders of the controversial Apollo Alliance, run by a slew of radicals, helped craft the marketing campaign behind the health-care initiative.

The new book, by authors Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott, exposes what is characterized as "the radical socialist network that seized political power in Washington over decades, shaped Obama's presidential agenda and threatens the very future of the U.S."

On Obamacare, "Red Army" documents how the legislation, deliberately masked by moderate, populist rhetoric, was carefully crafted and perfected over the course of decades and is a direct product of laborious work by a coalition of radical groups and activists, many with socialist designs.

Survey: Many Firms to Drop Insurance

At least 30 percent of employers are likely to stop offering health insurance once provisions of the U.S. healthcare reform law kick in in 2014, according to a study by consultant McKinsey.

McKinsey, which based its projection on a survey of more than 1,300 employers of various sizes and industries and other proprietary research, found that 30 percent of employers will "definitely" or "probably" stop offering coverage in the years after 2014, when new medical insurance exchanges are supposed to be up and running.

"The shift away from employer-provided health insurance will be vastly greater than expected and will make sense for many companies and lower-income workers alike," said the study, published in McKinsey Quarterly.

I haven't seen this reported anywhere! take a look and the link:

"I can make a firm pledge.  Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase.  Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes,"
President Obama, September 12, 2008

obama_lies_print-p228760817788323729qzz0_400Beginning January 1, 2013, ObamaCare imposes a 3.8% Medicare tax on unearned income, including the sale of single family homes, townhouses, co-ops, condominiums, and even rental income.

In February 2010, 5.02 million homes were sold, according to the National Association of Realtors.  On any given day, the sale of a house, townhome, condominium, co-op, or income from a rental property can push middle-income families over the $250,000 threshold and slam them with a new tax they can't afford.

This new ObamaCare tax is the first time the government will apply a 3.8 percent tax on unearned income.  This new tax on home sales and unearned income and other Medicare taxes raise taxes more than $210 billion to pay for ObamaCare.   The National Association of Realtors called this new Medicare tax on unearned income "destructive" and "ill-advised" and warned it would hurt job creation.

Obama Has No Case for Obamacare

On Feb. 22, a District of Columbia federal judge, Gladys Kessler, ruled Obamacare constitutional, parroting the administration's claim that because all Americans are "active" in the healthcare marketplace, Congress can use its commerce power to compel them to buy health insurance. Kessler is the third federal judge to buy the argument, and more likely will.

Unfortunately, it's untrue.

This is what socialized medicine gets you:

A Swedish man was forced to have his penis amputated after waiting more than a year to learn he had cancer. The man, who is in his sixties, first visited a local clinic in Blekinge in southern Sweden in September 2009 for treatment of a urinary tract infection, the local Blekinge Läns Tidning (BLT) reported.

When he returned in March 2010 complaining of foreskin irritation, the doctor on duty at the time diagnosed the problem as a simple case of inflammation. After three weeks passed without the prescribed treatment alleviating the man’s condition, he was instructed to seek further treatment at Blekinge Hospital. But it took five months before he was able to schedule an appointment at the hospital. When he finally met with doctors at the hospital, the man was informed he had cancer and his penis would have to be removed. It remains unclear if the man would have been able to keep his penis had the cancer been detected sooner.

The matter has now been reported to the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) under Sweden’s Lex Maria laws, the informal name used to refer to regulations governing the reporting of injuries or incidents in the Swedish health care system.
