We Know More About Tilikum the KILLER Whale in Five Hours, Than We Knew About Obama Before the Election

About a week before the 2008 election, Tom Brokaw sat in front of Charlie Rose on PBS stating we really don’t know much about Barack Obama. The two then exchanged back and forth all the things the mainstream media failed to ask Obama or dig up as we headed into the election just a few days later. This was the sad assessment of the state of the media and its bias leading into election day.

The mainstream media failed to report on Obama’s college days, his birth certificate, his drug use, his associations with Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Frank Marshall Davis, his connections to ACORN, his participation with the Annenberg project, how he used the courts to win earlier elections, his direction towards communism, racial beliefs, and all the dirty little secrets hidden so Obama could assume office. Now that he is president, the mainstream media still fails to dig deeply into the healthcare plan, the stimulus plan, and all the other controversial bills leading towards socialism. I still haven’t heard the mainstream media discuss Obama’s desire to track Americans with their cell phones and increase wire tapping capabilities of the federal government; yet they screamed with George W. Bush was listening in on terrorists. Something tells me in their private circle, Tom Brokaw and Charlie Rose is still say there is a lot we don’t know about Barack Obama.

However, in less than a day, I know everything I need to know about Tilikum, the killer orca at Sea World. I know where it was born, who its parents were, which tanks it lived in, how many people have died around the killer whale, and all the other details the media managed to dig up about the killer whale. It really is a sad statement about our mainstream media. By the way, the quote of the day comes from Matt Lauer from the Today show, which took out 15 minutes to discuss the incident last night. Lauer actually said, "they don't call them killer whales for nothing."

AKARTA, Indonesia - Authorities removed a statue of Barack Obama from a park in the Indonesian capital due to a public backlash and moved it Monday to a nearby elementary school that the U.S. president attended as a child. Critics argued that an Indonesian hero should have been honored instead! On Dec. 10, the statue of a 10-year old Barack Obama wearing the Nobel Prize around his neck was unveiled Thursday at the Jakarta, Indonesia school where the president attended classes.  It looks kind of sickly if you ask me!

What Obama Really Said in His Speech

By: Wayne Allyn Root

You know what they say about lawyers . . . their greatest talent is their ability to quote their fees without smiling. Well after watching Obama’s State of the Union speech last week, you can add a new talent to the list: Obama should win an Academy Award for the role of a lawyer lying about the true “state of the union.”

Obama said that his stimulus added 2 million jobs. Really? Where? In some alternate universe? Certainly not in America.

We’ve actually lost several million jobs since Obama passed his stimulus plan. There is no hard evidence that any private sector jobs were created. Just another lawyer lie.

Newly disclosed emails link White House directly to NEA politicalization scandal

Former actor and present White House associate director of public engagement Kalpen Modi was directly involved in planning the controversial conference call hosted by a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) flack to encourage tax-supported artists to create propaganda for President Obama, according to emails obtained by Judicial Watch via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

The emails reveal that Modi worked with now-former NEA national communications director Yosif Sargant in planning the August 10 conference call that was first revealed by Andrew Breitbart's Big Hollywood.com web site. Participants in the conference call were encouraged to use their talents to generate public support for the Obama agenda in Congress.

Here are four of the most illustrative emails, according to Judicial Watch:

Congress despairs when slaves can read

House Resolution 554 was introduced on June 17 by Rep. Brian Baird, D-Wash. It would require a 72-hour reading period for all non-emergency legislation before a vote by the House of Representatives. It is stuck in committee.

A motion, or discharge petition to force a House floor vote on the resolution was initiated by Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., on Sept. 23. It needs a simple majority of member signatures (218) to force a vote.

As of this writing, the petition has only 182 signatures.

We should not even have to petition Congress to read legislation before it takes a vote, nor should the public have to beg to see it for 72 hours. This is doubly insulting to the intelligence of the citizens of this country, and brazenly irresponsible on the part of the Democratic leaders in Congress.

But here's why the resolution is needed. The "stimulus bill" of 1,073 pages was voted on within 12 hours after it was made available to members of Congress. The 1,420-page "Cap & Trade & Tax & Kill" bill was passed in 16.5 hours. One version of the health-care deform legislation was passed out of committee in 14 hours.

The next huge legislation will be the backroom consolidation of the five health-care Trojan horses voted out of committees, and Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats do not want us to know what's in the bill before they vote on it. Why?

Rashid Khalidi
JERUSALEM – The Los Angeles Times has no plan to ever release a video it stated it obtained of President Obama attending an anti-Israel event in which he delivered a glowing testimonial for Rashid Khalidi, a pro-Palestinian professor who excuses terrorism.

At the 2003 event, poetry reportedly was read comparing Israelis to Osama bin Laden and accusing the Jewish state of terrorism.

"The story ran in 2008 and we pretty much said everything we are going to say about that event," Peter Wallsten, the Times reporter who claimed to have obtained the video, told WND yesterday.

Asked for details of the footage captured in the video, Wallsten replied, "I wrote an extensive article that described the event."

Wallsten referred to a previous statement from the newspaper's editor, Russ Stanton, explaining, "The Los Angeles Times did not publish the videotape because it was provided to us by a confidential source who did so on the condition that we not release it."

"The Times keeps its promises to sources," Stanton said.

Click on the web site at the end of this email for "The Rest of the STory."  Most Conservatives were too blaze' and naive to understand the ramifications of the Community Reinvestment Act 1977 and the Liberals pretend it never happened.  Connect the dots and you will understand why our economy collapsed.  No wonder Jimmy and Jesse Jr. jumped to the defense of Acorn this week.

http://commonsenserepublic.com/2009/05/07/acorn-spokesman-offers-proof-acorn-is-run-by-idiots/

Obama’s ties to ACORN show complicity in the Financial Crisis caused by bad mortgages.

The mortgage crisis that sent a shock wave through Wall Street and panicked world financial markets  with the  Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), signed into law in 1977 by President Jimmy Carter.  The CRA was Carter's answer to a grassroots activist movement started in Chicago (Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition), and forced banks to make loans to low income, high risk customers. PhD economist and former Texas Senator Phil Gramm called it "a vast extortion scheme against the nation's banks.”  It is no coincidence that Carter played the race card the same week in Sept 2009 that ACORN was under attack.

In 1991, Acorn took over the House Banking Committee room for two days to protest efforts to scale back the CRA. Obama represented ACORN in the Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank, 1994 suit against redlining. When banks don’t lend to pimps and prostitutes, Obama calls it red-lining.  Most significant of all, ACORN was the driving force behind a 1995 regulatory revision pushed through by the Clinton Administration that greatly expanded the Community Reinvestment Act and laid the groundwork for the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac borne financial crisis we now confront. Barack Obama was the attorney representing ACORN in this effort. With this new authority, ACORN used its subsidiary, ACORN Housing, to promote subprime loans more aggressively…as we now know, to even pimps and prostitutes.

Ironically, an enthusiastic Fannie Mae Foundation report singled out one paragon of nondiscriminatory lending, which worked with community activists and followed "the most flexible underwriting criteria permitted."   That lender's $1 billion commitment to low-income loans in 1992 had grown to $80 billion by 1999 and $600 billion by early 2003. Remember it was Barack Obama’s neighbor, the Rainbow Coalition in Chicago, run by Jesse Jackson that forced private lenders to make risky loans.  The lender that Fannie Mae was speaking of was Countrywide, which specialized in subprime lending and had a working relationship with ACORN who was represented by Barack Hussein Obama. When Congress voted to defund ACORN this week, Jesse Jackson Jr. voted to allow ACORN to continue to receive your tax dollars.

ABC: Obama Critics 'Driven By Refusal to Accept Black President'; NBC Trumpets Carter's Racism Charges

ABC and NBC on Tuesday night joined the effort to undermine the anti-Obama tea party participants by smearing them as racists as ABC framed a story around the proposition “some prominent Obama supporters are now saying” the opposition to Obama is “driven, in part, by a refusal to accept a black President,” while NBC anchor Brian Williams touted how “former President Carter spoke up and spoke out about” the supposed racism. Williams alleged “a certain number of signs and images at last weekend's big tea party march in Washington and at other recent events have featured racial and other violent themes and President Carter today said he is extremely worried by it.” (MP3 audio of Williams, Video below)

With “OUT OF LINE?” on screen beneath what appeared to be pictures from the August town halls, ABC anchor Charles Gibson set up the piece from Dan Harris who recited a litany of liberal presumptions:

They've waved signs likening President Obama to Hitler and the devil, raised questions about whether he was really born in this country, falsely accused him of planning to set up death panels, decried his speech to students as indoctrination and called him everything from a fascist to a socialist to a communist. And all that was before Mr. Obama's speech was interrupted by a Representative who once fought to keep the Confederate flag waving over the South Carolina state house. Add it all up, and some prominent Obama supporters are now saying that it paints a picture of an opposition driven, in part, by a refusal to accept a black President. (MP3 audio, Video below)

Will media expose duplicitous tone of the president?

President Obama continues to assert that no tax dollars will be used to finance abortions in healthcare reform -- but even some in the liberal media say otherwise.

I'm not really big on polls....one thing I've noticed is that it seems a lot of libs answer them mostly. maybe it's that they have more time than people who, you know, actually WORK for a living......but no, I don't put much stock in polls.

ABC Says No to GOP Ads During Obama Healthcare Special

Posted June 18, 2009

Conservative and Republican National Committee attacks on ABC for refusing their ads to respond to next week's planned ABC-White House healthcare special are being met with a stiff push back from the network which says it doesn't accept the type of ads Obama opponents want to air.

"ABC Television Network has a long standing policy that we do not accept advocacy advertising," said a spokeswoman. Also, the network brushed off GOP

charges that the special would be an Obama healthcare infomercial.

Love or lust, Obama and the fawning press need to get a room

When Barack Obama decided that questions from the German press about his trip agenda in that country were too pesky, he told the reporters, "So, stop it all of you!" He just wanted them to ask things he wanted to talk about. Well, what politico wouldn't want that?

OK, dad. We'll behave.

And according to a new Pew Research Center poll, we are behaving...like fans. On domestic press, it showed that "President Barack Obama has enjoyed substantially more positive media coverage than either Bill Clinton or George W. Bush during their first months in the White House" with "roughly twice as much" Obama coverage about his "personal or leadership qualities" than was the case for either previous president.

Back in the US, NBC's Brian Williams' two-part "Living Large With the Top Dog" feature on Mr. Obama's life included a plug for Conan O'Brien's new show and mention of cable talkies where Mr. Obama only cited MSNBC personalities. Accident? I don't think so. There were a few probing moments in there, but they were overshadowed by the flash of hanging out in the back of the Auto One limo and having burgers. A little navel-gazing among journalism standards hall monitors about whether the thing had been too soft came and went.

Then, this Sunday in the NYTimes, there was full-on chick-flick swooning over Barack and Michelle Obama's heavily scented "date night" in NY City and its high bar standard effect on our relationship culture, with just a hint of controversy over the taxpayer costs to add some spice. I swear I've seen this movie, only Michael Douglas was the President. Or Harrison Ford. Or one of those cool and languid characters you'd want to like you. George Bush needed to be beer-bar likable to get elected. His successor has managed to get a lot of people to want to be liked by him.

And in Paris, Mr. Obama talked about how he'd love to take his wife for a romantic tour of the City of Lovers, but couldn't. Then he did. I'm guessing some regular-Joe freedom fries weren't on the menu.

This guy is good. Really good. And, frankly, so far, we're not.

You can't blame powerful people for wanting to play the press to peddle self-perpetuating mythology. But you can blame the press, already suffocating under a massive pile of blame, guilt, heavy debt and sinking fortunes, for being played. Some of the time, it seems we're even enthusiastically jumping into the pond without even being pushed. Is there an actual limit to the number of instances you can be the cover of Newsweek?

If I wanted to see highly manicured image management I'd just take some No-Doz and read Gavin Newsom's tweets. But the Obama-press dance is a more consensual seduction where, in the old-fashioned sense, we're the girl. (In California, there's no other option.)

I thought that the Maxfield Parrish, heroic days of the Kennedy Administration PR, where the press and the president were pretty much all in on the same screenplay and the same jokes, couldn't happen in our modern era, what with paparazzi and tabloids and talk shows, citizen sound-bite scavengers and voracious 24/7 news cycles. But now that the stumbling Bushes and smirking Clintons are out of the White House, time has compressed back on itself like the machine in the Denzel Washington movie, "Deja Vu." It's the early 1960s and Camelot all over again:

Very attractive wife, cute, precocious kids and the hopes and dreams of at least 63 percent of the population sitting on the athletic shoulders of a young, charismatic, mold-breaking leader, Blah, blah. (Oh, and a Chicago Mayor Richard Daley helped make it possible. We can play the Lincoln-Kennedy parallels game here.) Only there's a puppy now instead of a pony and it seems like Barack Obama may be less socially, self-destructively libertine than Mr. Kennedy. In fact, he's downright conservative on things like same-sex marriage. (It's smart to have a wholesome life -- though very clearly, in the sinuous world of the Obamas, not to the point of abstinence -- when you're pushing programs that get labeled as socialist.)

So we're in love, lust, or just a whole lot of like. Clearly we get something in exchange, whether it's a little reflected exuberance, a sense of history or just some very minor role in a fun movie. If you want to appear in a movie with John Travolta, you go willingly with him to the LA Scientology Center and are happy about it. "I'm clear, man. Hand me the cans."

I'm not sure Mr. Obama is necessarily getting away with anything here. In Cairo, when he spoke of the "principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings," more than a few writers pointed out that this meant unless you're the Egyptian government or two gay people wanting to get married. What the President was saying overseas, to mostly purplish commentators' delight over the symbolic significance of the event, Dick Cheney was actually meaning in his own "freedom means freedom for everyone" speech about same-sex weddings.

The style-over-substance hit followed him from continent to continent. "While the president is popular among Europeans," the Wall Street Journal wrote, "he returned from his second trip to Europe with little more progress on key issues" than he got on his first visit. That's the Journal. But the Washington Post, where the John Kennedy myth was nurtured like a golden statue, managed a cautionary op-ed column from Robert Samuelson warning that "our political system works best when a president faces checks on his power." He meant checks from the press.

Samuelson was one of the few in the media to give some room to the Pew Research Center poll.

So far, this is all about image and character and press "opportunities." But with what CNN financial reporter Elizabeth Cohen called this morning "gazillions of dollars" of our money at stake and crazy people with nukes bristling from around the edges of the world, we can't afford not to keep a closer eye on the substance thing.

Artist Michael D'Antuono's painting "The Truth" – featuring Obama with his arms outstretched and wearing a crown of thorns upon his head – will be unveiled on April 29 at the Square's South Plaza.

According to a statement released about the portrait, "The 30" x 54" acrylic painting on canvas depicts President Obama appearing much like Jesus Christ on the Cross: atop his head, a crown of thorns; behind him, the dark veil being lifted (or lowered) on the Presidential Seal. But is he revealing or concealing, and is he being crucified or glorified?"

Even the title of the piece, "The Truth," suggests a play on biblical themes, as Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Bob, I got this off of Drudgereport.

STUDENTS QUESTION OBAMA'S PLAN

Some of the students attentively watched the speech, giving questioning looks and comments, shaking their heads and laughing at some of Obama's words. Other students listened, occasion ally glancing up to watch, while texting on their cell phones, reading a book or finishing school work.

"This puts us more into debt," said Albach, 18. "It's a horrible situation we're in."

Miller said he had been an Obama supporter "because of his speeches," but after debating the issues in this class and looking more into Obama's policies, his vote was swayed toward McCain.

"I just don't believe all the things he's telling us. His goal is just too big and broad."

Jed Gregg, the New Commerce Secretary and "token" Conservative in the New Administration, resigned last week. For those of you who may have missed this in the Media. It seems last week the Census Bureau was removed from the control of the Commerce Secretary and moved to THE WHITE HOUSE under Rohm Emanuel. Students of Civics will recognize the term "Gerrymandering." Google explains Gerrymandering as " the deliberate rearrangement of the boundaries of Congressional districts to influence the outcome of elections."

Just thought you would want to know, since TRANSPARENCY seems to be the buzz word in the New Administration. [ BUT MAYBE YOU DIDN'T HEAR ABOUT THIS BEFORE ]! Oh, by the way, did you know ACORN will get almost 4 $Billion in the Obamus package being signed tomorrow!

This story is a ABC blog that gives some back ground to how much Nobama had to do with Blago's election in 02 and re-election in 06.
