Good reply Linda. Too many Tony Stewart haters used this tragic incident to find the man guilty before all the facts were known.  Thank goodness the truth got out on this one.

I learned along time ago, the eyes tell the story. Go back and look at pictures taken after the accident, it showed disbelieve, hurt, not anger. Be in prayer for Smoke and the Ward family, this accident can't be undone, has no delete button. How do you get over a tragic accident like this one ? Through prayer, not blaming or pointing fingers , this has affected many people.

Hero's welcome for NASCAR champ Tony Stewart as he returns to the track just THREE weeks after killing fellow driver Kevin Ward Jr... before he hit a wall

NASCAR champion Tony Stewart was given a standing ovation on Sunday night as he returned to the track for his first race since he struck and killed Kevin Ward Jr three weeks ago in upstate New York. Stewart, 43, walked out during driver introductions to a chorus of cheers - the loudest and longest for any driver - before the Oral-B 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday. The response even drowned out the public address announcer's introduction of Stewart. Stewart waved a couple times and shook hands with each person on the stage before taking the customary lap around the track in the back of a pickup.

'Thanks for thinking of our family when you decided to be a d**k': Grief-stricken relatives of Kevin Ward Jr rage against Tony Stewart as it emerges NASCAR star badly injured Ward's pal on same track

nascar2-bannerTony Stewart has broken his silence after causing the death of a fellow race car driver at a night race on Saturday. Witnesses have reported that veteran driver Stewart hit young racer Kevin Ward Jr who was walking on the track after they collided on a prior lap at the Empire Super Sprints in Canandaigua, New York. On Sunday, the three-time NASCAR champ issued a statement expressing his condolences to Ward Jr's family. 'There aren't words to describe the sadness I feel about the accident that took the life of Kevin Ward Jr. It's a very emotional time for all involved, and it is the reason I've decided not to participate in today's race at Watkins Glen. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and everyone affected by this tragedy,' Stewart said in a statement released by spokesman Mike Arning. The competition director of Stewart's racing team said earlier in the day that he planned to continue Sunday's race, but he was later replaced by fellow driver R

WARNING GRAPHIC VIDEO: Anger from members of Kevin Ward Jr.'s family has publicly spilled out in the aftermath of his tragic death in upstate New York on Saturday. His aunt, Wendi Ward, posted a furious message to Facebook on Sunday, labeling three-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart a 'd**k' following his collision with 20-year-old Ward, pictured left with his girlfriend, on the track at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night. Raging that Stewart, 43, pictured right, has left her family with a 'deep hurt that should not be there', Ward's comments are in stark contrast to the more measured official statement released by his parents, who were reportedly in the crowd when their son was hit and killed, pictured inset center. Across the racing community and Ward's hometown of Port Leyden tributes were being paid to the dedicated young racer who was a much-loved member of his large family. Relatives posed in t-shirts in his honor today, recalling his car number 13, pictured center.

The sheriff's department said the cars involved were taken to private garages.

"Next is continuing interviews, a continued evaluation of evidence we have, including video, and there is certainly going to be an evaluation of medical evidence when it is collected from the autopsy," Povero said.
