October 26, 2009 at 10:24 am - WPTV Dateline: Okeechobee, FL WPTV: Last month, when Trevor Keezer started bringing his Bible to work, Keezer says his manager confronted him about the ["One nation under God, indivisible."] button. "That's when I was told it had to come off, or I would be sent home. So they sent me home for six straight days without pay. And then today they terminated me."

Reply with quote | #4 | Bill, you and I both know what the real problem is and that is traditional Christianity is politically incorrect, and our leaders and politicians are trying to use "separation of church and state" as their excuse to stop these Christmas displays, and everything else that is so-called "Christian." Most know that I am not what most would consider a traditional Christian, we do not celebrate Christmas, Easter, or Halloween. However, that being said, I have no problem with towns, or people, celebrating these holidays, because in this country the majority rules, as long as they do not oppress the minority. Have a manger scene, doesn't oppress anybody. This is a traditional "Christian" country. The doctrine of "separation of church and state" is simply not found in the Constitution. It was later stated in the Federalist papers, and has been misused, or I should say misquoted, to impose what our founding fathers never intended.
The plain simple fact is that their idea of separation of church and state, was that the state stayed out a personal beliefs. Separation of church and state, has more to do with the state staying out of a person's religion than the other way around. It is not the governments job to tell us what religion or how to think. It is our right, my right, to express what I believe to be the truth, what I believe to be what is in the Bible, but I have no right to force my will upon the majority of this country, and neither do Muslims, atheists, or any other religion. It's about time that we wake up in this country, take this country back, and put it back into the hands of the majority and not special interest minorities -- most of whom are not even legal American citizens.
