Quote:
WASHINGTON -- Nearly half the members of a House panel in control of Pentagon spending are under scrutiny by ethics investigators in Congress, The Washington Post reported Friday, citing a leaked confidential House ethics committee report.

Investigations by two separate ethics offices include an examination of Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.,chairman of the appropriations subcommittee on defense, and six other lawmakers and their relationships with an influential lobbying firm, the newspaper said.

Rep. Murtha, another disgusting pig!

Democrat ethical "issues" are apparently not just confined to Murtha and his committee cronies.

Quote:
Washington (CNN) -- The House ethics committee on Thursday announced separate investigations into whether Rep. Laura Richardson and Rep. Maxine Waters, both Democrats from California, violated rules of conduct.

The Committee on Standards of Official Conduct issued statements saying it appointed investigating subcommittees in the cases of Richardson and Waters.

The article does go on to say that a Republican congressman from Missouri, Rep. Sam Graves, was investigated and cleared of wrongdoing.

Lynne,  I just wonder if this is going to go anywhere.  remember the ABSCAM  scandal with John Murtha taking bribes from Arabs? That was some 20 years ago or more, and he's still there, taking bribes, and raping the country. He is survived to both Republican and Democratic administrations since.  the corruption in Washington is at the highest level I believe it ever has been, on both sides. Unlike Glenn Beck, I still do not favor a third-party, rather I favor true Americans will re-taking  the Republican, as Ronald Reagan did in 1980. A third-party candidate will only ensure another election win for Barack Obama.  I am actually worried, it may mean three or four more wins for Obama, Ala  Franklin Delano Roosevelt! People seem to fail to remember that the man was actually  voted president for life! He won four  terms and it took his death in office to get a new president. I'm afraid we're going down that path again now. That's the fear I have with the third-party.
