With all the crap going on today- you have to wonder!

Thanks for the question, and although I am short on time right now, I think I will write a full article on this one. For those who do not understand your theory (and many like you) it was proposed long ago that the reign of man is 6,000 years, or 6 God days. The Bible says that a day to God, is a 1,000 man years. It was proposed, the Armstrong's and many theologians teach that this is a Biblical fact. They get this because the millennium is a 1,000 years long, and God calls it the earth's Sabbath! That makes many of us assume then that the plan of salvation is 7,000 years. 6,000 allotted to mankind (6 days), and the Sabbath 7,000th year belonging to Christ when he rules on earth. This theory makes sense BUT it is not spelled out in the Bible! It should not be taught as Biblical fact! Here is a proof. It is easy to see that the Apostle Paul thought he was living in the last days! Just read his letters! He clearly thinks that the time of the end was near and HE WAS WRONG!  Yes, even Apostles under the Holy Spirit can be wrong! In one case, Paul writes that he expects to be leaving Rome, getting out of prison, and returning to Asia Minor. HE DID NOT! In fact, in his last letter to Timothy, near his death, he realizes this sad fact.

My point is, why didn't Paul know that there was 2,000 more years to go? He didn't know it because it wasn't a doctrine that Jesus was teaching! It may turn out to be true, but it is not what we should spend our times consumed with. Paul warns against it, when he warns against studying endless genealogies! To those who do not know what this means, it is by counting the number of years that each person lived, that scholars determined that the earth was re-created (YES RE-CREATED) by Jesus (YES JESUS!- Just read the 1st chapter of John). Paul warns against this. Why? Because even in his days, many were more interested in understanding the time frame of God THAN HIS MESSAGE! The GOSPEL is a message of the Kingdom of Christ that will someday return to this earth, but we clearly do not know the exact times!

Christ therefore warns us to keep up to date with world events and count off the signs of His return (Matthew 24). That is what we are doing with The Plain Truth.

Even if the 6,000 year theory is correct, we do not know the year of re-creation! The experts may, and most likely are WRONG!

Thanks for your generous comments and support. And yes, I do believe that God's true message is getting out EVERYWHERE! Not just from me, but thousands out there who is doing what I am doing! And yes, this could be a sign that things are near. We need to keep watching the news!

End Time Sign - Churches are looking just like the World! (December 2015)

HILLSONG CHURCH PERFORM SILENT NIGHT IN NIGHT CLUB STYLE! - "Because after all, it's just not a proper celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ without Roaring 20's flappers, rock bands, hoochie coochie dancers, laser light shows and lots and lots of leg in a nightclub setting. Happy Birthday, Jesus, hope you like it." (source)

STAR WARS THEME CHURCH SERVICES IN NEW JERSEY - "A New Jersey pastor and 'Star Wars' enthusiast is using the power of the force to tell the Christmas story this year. Pastor Tim Lucas says Liquid Church will be holding 'Cosmic Christmas' services at its multiple campuses that will weave parts of the 'Star Wars' movies together with biblical theology." (source)

2 Timothy 3:1-5 ...'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.'

The TRUE way ... Matthew 16:24 ...'Then said Jesus unto his disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.'

I understand Bob, that you do not want to date the exact date of the "end times", but we must consider that the 6,000 year reign of man is up and that His return must be imminent. God's re-creation of the world was in 4004 BC, according to most Bible scholars and 6000 years makes the present age of man up in 1996. Christ said that this generation (a generation is 40 years?) will not go by until His return. That puts the max date at or around 2036.  I think that you have resurrected what true message that the LORD is trying to spread again tells me that this time is close. Keep up the good work. What is view view on this time frame?
