U.S. military believes Iran will attempt to kill one of its commanders in 'tit-for-tat' response to the death of General  Soleimani and expects a 'major' attack within two days

U.S. officials are braced for attacks by Iran after the death of General Soleimani, and fear a 'tit-for-tat' attempt on the life of an American military commander.

Terrorist general with blood of THOUSANDS on his hands: Qassem Soleimani masterminded killing of hundreds of US troops in IED attacks, was an ally of Hezbollah and 'more powerful than Iran's president'

Qassem Soleimani, the terrorist general with the blood of THOUSANDS on his hands

Qassem Soleimani (left in his Revolutionary Guards uniform, and right being kissed by Ayatollah Khamenei), who was killed in a US drone strike Thursday, led Iran's feared Quds force for two decades, helping Shia militias kill US troops in Iraq and backing Assad as he slaughtered civilians during the Syrian civil war. Soleimani first joined the Revolutionary Guards in 1979, rose to prominence fighting against Iraq during the invasion in 1980, became commander of a division before he turned 30 and in 2002 - just months before the US invaded Iraq - became commander of the Quds force. Officially charged with defending the Iranian Revolution, in practice the Quds were used to enforce the Iranian regime's will across the Middle East.

First wave of 750 US paratroopers leaves for the Middle East in response to attack on the US embassy in Baghdad with thousands more set to deploy after Trump promised Iran will pay a 'big price'

PICTURED: First wave of 750 paratroopers deploys to Kuwait

On Wednesday at Fort Bragg in North Carolina,  paratroopers from the 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division boarded C-17 Globemaster aircraft bound for Kuwait. Iran-backed militiamen withdrew from the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad on Wednesday after two days of clashes with American security forces, but U.S.-Iran tensions remain high and could spill over into further violence. 'At the direction of the Commander in Chief, I have authorized the deployment of an infantry battalion from the Immediate Response Force (IRF) of the 82nd Airborne Division to the U.S. Central Command area of operations in response to recent events in Iraq,' Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper said in a statement. The attack on the embassy also prompted U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to delay a European and Central Asian trip. Pompeo called the attack an act of 'state-sponsored terrorism' in an interview with CBS News, and President Donald Trump vowed that the Iranian government will be held 'fully responsible' for the attack

6 OF THE LAST 8 U.S. RECESSIONS WERE PRECEDED BY OIL PRICE SPIKES – DAMAGE TO SAUDI OIL INDUSTRY COULD TAKE “MONTHS” TO REPAIR

When the price of oil rises dramatically, that tends to be really bad for the U.S. economy

Will Donald Trump unleash hell on Iran? Oil prices soaring, threats of 'full-on war' from the Ayatollahs and the US saying it's 'locked and loaded'. Just how close ARE we to catastrophe in the Gulf?

Will Donald Trump unleash hell on Iran? Oil prices soaring, threats of 'full-on war'

A massive series of explosions at the huge oil processing plant (bottom) sent flames up to thirty feet into the air, gunfire was aimed at what seemed to be a drone in the sky. Abqaiq's residents fled with their families into the surrounding desert. The events in the obscure Saudi oil town of Abqaiq rocked world oil prices and dramatically raised the stakes in the ongoing tensions between the US and Iran (right, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani). Abqaiq is the Saudi Kingdom's largest oil processing hub, each day converting 5.7 million barrels of crude oil into differently graded products. These are then delivered by pipeline to petrochemical plants or tankers on the Saudi coast destined for the West. Whatever the case, the attacks put President Trump (left) in a seriously tight quandary.

The Coming War on Lebanon: Israel, Saudi Arabia, U.S. Prepare “Long-Planned Middle East War”

[Middle-East-War-Lebanon-300x175]

This previously published article (December 2017) on Global Research reveals the well-calculated plan of the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia on inciting a “civil war” in Lebanon to defeat Hezbollah.

Israel – seemingly leading the squad with the green signal from Washington – has just fabricated yet another grounds for war.

***

Washington’s plan to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has ultimately failed. Now Lebanon seems to be in the cross-hairs with tensions between Israel and Hezbollah on the same level that led to the 2006 Lebanon war. There is also the possibility that a new offensive against Syria that might take place as Washington maintains its troop levels in the devastated country caused by ISIS and other terrorists groups they supported. Various reports suggests that the Pentagon may reveal that there are close to 2,000 U.S. troops stationed in Syria even though ISIS has been defeated. So why is Washington staying in Syria? Will there be another attempt to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the near future? Most likely, yes. Adding the Trump administration’s continued hostilities towards Iran, the drumbeats of a new war in the Middle East is loud and clear.
